Love the use of mirrors, especially as backsplash, simply because of the extra light it adds to dark workspaces, behind things and corner areas, also allows the prep area to 'see' what is going on behind them. That said, I wouldn't put it behind the stove area- too greasy/dirty/steamy to keep clean. Thanks for highlighting this.

Black kitchens ????
I don’t think double refrigerators is a ‘just coming down the pike’. In my house, the freezer is in the garage. Helpful hint: for color trends go to the grocery store and start looking at new packaging. I first noticed matte black being used more and more in food packages. I love terrazzo but the chunky look is disturbing.
3:05 What is the color of the kitchen on right side of the screen? That is what i am looking for ????
Why does any normal family require an enormous fridge? I never throw any food out except chicken broth bones and veggies. Giant fridges invite waste.
With maple shaker cabinets in natural with a black vintage stain over them and black cabinets on the island what edge would you use on the quartz for counter and island?
I did my whole kitchen black and everyone kept asking if I was sure lol Absolutely LOVE it. I have large vaulted ceilings and an entire wall of windows so it looks fantastic and it actually helped the space look much less sterile. The all white previously was so overwhelming. That mirrored backsplash is stunning but I would hate to clean it!
Give me a French country kitchen any day over these cold, austere American/Northern European hospital rooms. Horrible.
De gustibus…. Most of the kitchens displayed here are modern, clean, sterile, and about as welcoming as a Scandinavian dentist room or airport waiting roomI want my kitchen to be cozy and comfortable, with lot of light and happy colors. Quartz and granite countertops are also BORING!! The colors are limited to drab, less drab, and more drab – a bit like the sky in Northern Europe.
Round and curve islands can provide a more inclusive and inviting atmosphere in the kitchen area. This can really help the members of the family process the cooking and serving more convenient. ????????
At 6:35, the white hidden pantry on the left half-screen is my favorite design element of the whole video at the halfway mark. I've seen it before somewhere years ago, and absolutely adore it – also the rounded corners, layers of black, greens and terrazzo. ????
Love them all! The marble one that you said won't last is gorgeous and the dark black and brown kitchen. If i could afford it i would, but I can't so I am staying in my lane. We can dream right?
We don't have such huge areas for a kitchen. We prefer compact, easy access to kitchen items and easy to clean kitchens
Pocket doors
Terrazzo market is the same in Winnipeg ????
In north america all the homeowners would put large chest freezers in the garage (or 2nd fridges) Maybe because the homes were being made with such small kitchens? The pendants are a work of art and so beautiful, definitely a step in in style.
Not keen on the oversized handles either
10:20 PORCELAIN MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER FOR COUNTERTOPS???????????? SET YOUR GLASS DOWN LESS THAN CAREFULLY AND ITS SHATTERED PORCELAIN IS GLASSES WORST NIGHTMARE YOU DROP ANY GLASS ON PORCELAIN AND IT WILL SHATTER ON CONTACT????????????????????MAKES ALOT OF SENSE HUH
Thank you
These trends are interesting however, I cannot see myself cooking or baking in any of them….LOL! Light is important but, so is space to put kitchen dishes, etc., so cabinets needed on some of those walls. A walk in pantry near garage a must for me hauling in groceries. A big frige is a recipe for disaster if breaks….and they do! I have 2 friges- 1 small in walk in pantry, and regular in kitchen. Actually have had the kitchen frige break 2x and used smaller frige to save the food grom spoiling! Rectangular island is best configuration for storage underneath and food prep…..lose space when rounding. Lighting clustered over island doesn't make sense unless you have spots in ceiling to light prep area at other end. In all these trend pictures, I just see them outdated in 5-10 years as swing to more practical working kitchen will be desireable. Bright, with good storage, work spaces, task lighting , and easy to clean , and comfy flooring on standing feet seem to me to always be in style.
Love the kitchen cabinets and hood at 4:16, what brand is it?
I'm planning to build house and I will separate kitchen from home. So that the smell won't bother my house.

I love the giant hardware on the flat cabinets because i hate flat front cabinets as they just feel so bleak
You have Fantastic kitchen ideas, m planning my new kitchen and have few questions regarding looks, liked the rounded corners and wooden strips.
